A comprehensive private health screening, arranged end to end around your trip, and recommended to you by the person who planned your Budapest days.
You arrive at 8:15 on a weekday morning, before breakfast, with the day planned around you. Blood work comes first, then imaging and a circle of specialists, each with time reserved for you. The program itself is fitted to you in advance, around your history and anything your own doctor wants looked at. Nothing about it feels hurried, and nothing about it feels like a hospital visit back home.
Before you leave, each specialist sits down with you in person to explain what they see, in English, with time for every question. The complete written report follows in English, written so the physician who knows you at home can pick it up and act on it.

The screening takes place at a leading private hospital in the heart of the city, a short walk from the Danube. Every physician speaks English. The specialist appointments that take months to line up in the US are all done in one morning.
Danube Private Health is run personally by Adam Halmy, an American who grew up between Houston and Budapest. He looks after everything himself, from your first email to your final report, and arranges the morning around your itinerary.

Good. Your results belong to you and travel with you. The report is written in English so your own physician can pick it up and act on it, and the screening becomes a baseline the two of you share. If your physician wants something specific examined while you are here, tell Adam, and it is built into the morning.
Then the screening did its job. Most findings are small and benign and simply become part of your baseline. Anything that deserves a closer look is explained to you face to face the same day, so you understand what it is, why it matters or doesn't, and what the sensible next step would be, before you leave the building.
The screening takes one weekday morning, planned around the rest of your itinerary. Many couples do it together and are back on the river bank by lunch.
Mention Andrea's name when you write. Her guests come first when mornings are tight, and a private car between your hotel and the hospital, both directions, is included.
Write to Adam, tell him you are Andrea's guest, and hear back the same day.
